It's for a '97 VW Jetta.

It's been in a shop for weeks, and every time I call, they just say ';tomorrow.';How long does it take for a shop to change a timing belt?
a couple of hours. something sounds fishy about this. either they really messed something up or someone just does not know what they are doingHow long does it take for a shop to change a timing belt?
2 hours
They're giving you garbage. Find another more reliable place. A timing belt should not take more than a day or so to replace. Especially if the shop is certified.
They should not have the car more than 1 day.
Scrap the car. It isn't worth it. It takes about 5 hours book time.
